I teach fourth grade in an area with a lower socioeconomic population. Students in my school do not always have access to new materials, such as new books, and I would love to get them materials that they will want to use. I teach 24-30 students a year who, for the most part, find reading to be an arduous task. I would love for them to have books that are of high interest and have wonderful meaning. My students want to perform well and grow as readers, but need to have updated materials to get them interested. These students genuinely love to learn, but need their learning to have meaning.
