Accessibility for All in the Classroom!
Funded Oct 8, 2021I cannot even begin to explain the incredible impact your generous donation has had over the past few months in my classroom. The addition of flexible seating and standing desks has give my perfectly autistic students access to move around, have greater choice in their learning environment, and to better meet their diverse sensory needs. The additional books and table white board dots have allowed me to adjust my lessons in more fun and invigorating ways to keep my students engaged. Also, the opportunity that came when the items were delivered, allowed my students to follow the step-by-step directions and use tools to help build and put all the pieces together.
That opportunity for vocational training has been huge in giving my students valuable experience they don't normally get, if ever, and also allowed them to feel a sense of ownership and pride in their accomplishments. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Catalano

Funded Dec 30, 2019I am beyond grateful and overwhelmed with your generosity in helping to support my project. I was literally moved to tears when I saw the email saying my project was funded as I was waiting for my flight to take off at the end of my winter vacation, knowing just how much these laptops are going to truly make a difference in the lives of my students. I am truly excited to return to my classroom after this holiday break to share the news with my students. They have asked for this, knowing how helpful they will be, and because of your gift I know I will be able to give so much more to my students. These will allow them to communicate in a way that allows them to be their full selves. You made this happen and I am forever thankful!!”

Glow and Grow While Beating the Germs!
Funded Aug 31, 2018Once again I cannot express my sincerest gratitude for your generosity. The folders, markers, hand sanitizer, erasers and more have all made the first few months of school so much smoother. The students were so excited to be able to have their own say on the color folders they wanted and be able to select a set of markers and erasers to keep in their desks, instead of me having to just give them whatever I had left from the pervious year. Those little details and sense of ownership gives them so much pride.
With winter now here we have spent a lot of time teaching our students how to stay clean and healthy. Having the resources such as the Clorox wipes allows for end of the day germ eliminating where students wipe down their desks and chairs. Giving them a sense of responsibility for their own space and an awareness that they are helping their friends stay healthy and safe as well.
We are always in need of more supplies and when I tell my students about the generosity of random strangers they light up and want to meet those who help. Thank you once again!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Catalano

Funded Jul 2, 2018Since receiving the generous donation of the classroom book bins we have been able to start the school year off with an extra dash of color throughout our classrooms but also in an organizational manner that drastically helps our students who have autism locate and access our library. Being able to label and provide each student with their own bin for them to put their "just right" books in, at their functional reading levels, has already shown increased excitement and engagement amongst my students. They were quick to pick their favorite color and make sure no one else touches their bins. They are now more than ever very protective of the books they have access to. We look forward to further developing our organizational skills and identifying books from different genres throughout the school year.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you have made a big impact not only on me but my students and school as a whole.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Catalano
