  • Rock Star Behavior!

    Thank you so much for the support for the project "Rock Star Behavior"! My students were very excited to have choices to support their behavioral and social emotional needs. The activities and things that my students enjoyed spending their PBIS tickets on, the little things that they can hold, such as toys and Party Favors, allowed me to support their options for spending the tickets they earn for their positive actions. The dice have provided a fun way to practice social emotional skills.”

  • Hatching Our Best Reading and Writing

    Funded May 7, 2021

    When we first got the incubator, the kids were so excited to see what it was and wanted to know what it would do. We had a lot of discussions about egg and chick development. The books are reinforcing the whole thing.

    My students are so excited to see the eggs and cannot wait for the chicks to hatch. The eggs were over three weeks late, so the kids had everything set up and the anticipation was palpable. They have read about them, are writing about them, and are counting down the days. In my resource class, the kids come and check on the eggs before their class and want to know how long till they hatch.

    When the chicks hatch, the kids will get the opportunity to write more about them, and draw them daily. We plan to keep them for a few weeks and let them grow. We all just cannot wait!”
