  • Award-Winning Book for Literature Circles, Please!

    Thank you so much for your donation. These books have been great asset. We have used these books not only for literature circles but during English language development. We have utilized the illustrations to have Constructive Conversations. We have also used the illustrations to support skills like making inferences. These books will also be utilized in a future workshop with parents. I will teach parents how to support Reading comprehension at home using this great story. My students and I can't wait to share this resource.”

  • Life Essentials For My Second Grade Students

    My students and I used these resources in our "Keeping Healthy" unit for Health. My students had a whole unit on how to keep our teeth and gums healthy by brushing and flossing everyday.

    My students were excited to receive toothbrushes for every three months, floss and toothpaste. When I opened up the boxes, they were amazed on the wealth of resources. They were excited to choose their favorite colored toothbrushes for the rest of the year.

    We also learned about how important it is to get our teeth checked twice a year. We even had visit from the tooth fairy. We can't thank you enough!”

  • Help, We Need a Leveled Classroom Library ASAP

    Thank you so much for your donation. We are so greatful. Since receiving the books, students have checked out books in a weekly basis. I am no longer hearing, "Mrs. Contreras, I already read these books" or there are no books to read. Best of all, the students who didn't have access to books at home, can now enjoy them in the comfort of their homes.

    They are leveled readers and this helps students with their fluency and comprehension. These books are non fiction and fiction which has also helped my students' understanding of different text features. Like table of contents, glossaries and so forth.

    I have also had the opportunity to build stronger relationships with parents via parent workshops. I have stressed the importance to read at home with your child everyday. Also, I've been able to assist parents' understanding of reading different genres. Parents are also having book talks with their son or daughter about text features and reading comprehension which is fantastic!”

  • Sharpening Our Comprehension Skills

    We can't thank you enough for this generous donation. My students are sincerely grateful. They look forward to using it everyday during universal access time.

    During this time, my students are fully engaged. I love hearing them laugh, smile and overall having a good time while learning. They get to practice on some reading comprehension skills like sequencing and predicting outcomes in a board game format. They tell me that they enjoy this center because it's so much fun. It's become a classroom favorite.”
