  • Help Me Learn My Time Tables

    Funded May 28, 2021

Thank you so much for the time table flashcards for my students. These will come in handy next year to be successful in Math. My students lacked these resources at home this year and found it challenging to learn them. This will definetily help them commit it to memory and feel confident in Math!”

  • Fun Educational Resources

    Funded Mar 13, 2021

Thank you for your generous donation. Your donation to a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card has had a great impact on my students.

All my students are currently on line and it has been difficult to come up with innovative and fun ways to keep learning fun. I have intervention groups for my students who are still learning how to read. I purchased a bingo game that reviews certain phonetics spellings and sounds. The kids loved it and asked for more.

After that I purchased a bundle with more bingo games. These bingo games have been great because they come with visuals for the words. These are fantastic for my English language learners. Not only are they learning how to read but are learning the vocabulary too! Thank you once again for making a difference!”

  • Hands-on Reading

    Funded May 21, 2020

During this pandemic most of my students were left without access to books. We are so grateful for this donation. My students had the opportunity to read these books when libraries, stores, and schools were closed during the pandemic.

My students enjoy reading a good chapter book. Before the pandemic hit we would have time in the morning to read our books or to listen to a read aloud at the end of the day.

When school finally started online, many of my students shared how they loved the comic books, Magic Tree House books, and history books. Many of my female students had never read comic book and enjoyed reading about female heroes. Some of my male students shared their love of superheroes and are so thankful they were gifted these wonderful books.”

  • Young Authors at Work

    Funded Dec 29, 2018

These journals and journal prompts has been such a great writing tool for my students. Before students would use a notebook with just lines but now they can bring their stories to life because they can include their beautiful drawings. The kids have enjoyed writing every day and have grown so much in their writing skills. They like the prompts because they are so funny and creative. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. They feel so special because a kind stranger gave them such a lovely gift.”

  • Instilling the Love of Reading

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Students were ecstatic when they found out about this donation. Students have the opportunity to check out these books from the classroom and take them home. Many of my students' parents have been advised to have them listen to the stories at home, so the students can here intonation and fluency with a read aloud. Parents are also advised through my parent workshops, to ask them comprehension questions or ask their child to give a retell on the students' book of their choice. My emergent readers are the ones who are excited the most because they enjoy being read to and because they are English learners it's difficult to get this at home.”

  • Life Essentials: Hooray for Health and Homework

    Funded Dec 10, 2017

We are so grateful for all the hygiene products and school supplies we received. My students were so excited to get these materials and eager to show their parents. Students have all they need to complete their homework. They also use their supplies in school if they need to. During the cold season, students used their tissue to keep their noses clean and lip balm to prevent chapped lips. When they need more supplies, they refill until we run out. The students appreciate your kindness and feel the love.”

  • Feeding Young Minds

    Funded Apr 14, 2017

Thank you for your very generous donation. I made these resources available at their recess time everyday until we ran out. When I mentioned the donation they were excited to try all the snacks. When they would come up to get a snack, they didn't know what to choose because they had never seen these kind of snacks before. Each day they wanted to try something new and they all loved it. Their hearts and their tummies were full. My next steps are for me to create another project involving snacks for the rest of the school year.”

  • Reading About Polar Bears to Rockets

    Funded Feb 8, 2017

We are so thankful for our Nonfiction readers. My students are so thankful they have more genres to choose from when checking out books from our classroom library. Every week, my students get to select appropriate leveled books they would like to read at home. Many students don't have parents that make a weekly family trip to the local library so its great that they have access to these kinds of books at their fingertips. The students love reading about bugs, volcanoes, extreme sports and even about fossils.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Contreras

  • Let's Inspire Our Future Geologists and Scientists!

    Funded Aug 21, 2016

These resources couldn't have come at a better time. We are currently learning about Earth's changes in our Science unit. We will be going into depth about earthquakes, tornadoes, storms and fossils. The kids are so excited to use these resources. The science kits will be at a center where students can explore about volanoes, minerals and fossils. They will pose questions in their journal and note any findings on their observations. The Science books will be available to learn more about such topics as the earth and life cycles. These will be available at a Writing center where they will take notes and write a summary about what they read. Thank you so much for your support in Education.”

    With gratitude,
