Building Blocks!
Funded Oct 5, 2019Thank you so much! This project will help kinders develop fine motor skills and allow them to have building blocks during recess. This helps with conflicts on the yard, as these blocks can be used outside. Students will learn to share, build, borrow, redesign, and more! Thanks for making kinder and fun place to live and learn.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Douglas
Wolves at Work!
Funded Aug 20, 2019Thank you so much for your generosity.
It will be an exciting experience for these emergent writers. Our Kinder wolf pack will explore print through drawing, labels, environmental print. Our school community appreciates your help in funding this project. It will directly fund and provide both K classrooms with journals.”

Mr. Douglas
Happy Healthy Kinderlandia
Funded Feb 6, 2017Thank you for your generous contribution to our kindergarten class. Over the past few months we have been very busy! THEY WERE SO EXCITED TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING WE HAVE BEEN DOING.
We have been getting active and healthy with the dodge balls. The students have been practicing their dribbling skills and channeling their inner Steph Curry. They also have learned to share, use teamwork, and be responsible for bringing the balls back inside after recess.
We write on the white board every morning. It's our morning message, question of the day, and shared reading and writing time. The little kinders love to write on the white board because it is very forgiving and they can easily erase and correct mistakes.
Finally, they are rather obsessed with the water table. They like getting messy and wet, obviously. And it helps to develop their English language skills as they share, explore, and observe their peers. It helps show them flow, gravity, and motion.
THANK YOU, and know that you are very much appreciated in kindergarten. Thank you for providing our students with the resources we need to learn and grow a better future.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Douglas
Kinder + Garden = Kindergarten
Funded Sep 22, 2015Throughout this semester Kindergarten has been studying the plant life cycle. We have read books about trees, studied seeds, and created a class forest with student made tree art. Specifically, we have used the geopot planter sacks to take care of our hearty class plants! Each table group of 4 students is in charge of caring for their plant: giving the plant sunlight, water, and love.
When the materials arrived, the students knew we had a lot of work to do. First, we opened the geopots and planned how to use them. Second, we filled the geopots with soil. Our hands got very dirty and the work was difficult. But, it was worth all the sweat. Third, we replanted our sprout plants! Each day we observe our plants with magnifying glasses, create observational drawings, and recognize our responsibility for these living things.
In the spring we hope to use the geopots for planting and growing seeds. We are waiting for the warmer weather to get deeper into our garden unit. We plan to sprout a variety of vegetables; squash, tomatoes, peas, and more! Thanks to YOU we will continue to grow as responsible scientists as we care for and maintain our garden here in kinderland!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Douglas
