  • An Apple a Day Keeps Kids Engaged!

    I am filled with gratitude for this amazing gift that I've received because of all of you. This laptop has made my life a million times teaching this year. Even though we are back in person for teaching this year, many of the items I have to create are still digital. It makes a world of a difference being able to do my work at home on my new laptop. I can now spend more time creating and exploring so my students can have more immersive and engaging lessons.

    I've also been able to bring the laptop in to do various activities with the students. We were able to use programs such as Screencastify for the students to record stories that they've written. From there, they now have a digital read aloud for them to refer back to and be proud of.

    Hope you are all doing well! I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for your donation and partnership. Every morning as I plug my purifier in, I am filled with emotions because of all the support I've received. This amazing Dyson purifier has helped ease so many worries of not only the staff, but families of my students. Because of you, our class has the extra protection during these unprecedented times.

  • iPad's for Mrs. Siu's Class

    I'm not sure what life would have been like without these iPads, but I know that my life and my students' lives have been made significantly better.

    I'm able to do lessons socially distanced in person because now I can have the kids respond on the iPads as I watch what they are doing from the front of the room. My students are also able to enjoy more interactive lessons and activities. Now I can download the most upto date programs and apps to help my students learn to their potential!

    I am eternally grateful for these, especially during these tough, hybrid learning times. Thank you again for your generosity!”

They can't handle any updates and operate so slowly that the children often don't want to use them. Because we are participating in a blended learning program, these iPads can help access digital tools for the students to use. We also will be using different digital learning platforms such as Pear Deck which require students to use their own device to participate in the lesson. These iPads will also be used as assistive technology tools for the students and an earned reward. These iPad would add endless possibilities accessible to them through technology.
