The students were all extremely excited about their writing materials! When we received the package all of the students had the opportunity to participate in removing and labeling the items. I believe that this gift has really inspired my authors of tomorrow, they are always enthusiastic about writing workshop!

From day one, I have taught the students how to use the folders to help guide their planning, writing and then preparation for publishing. The students also used the writing folder to help with spelling their sight words and as a quick reminder of simple writing mechanics. Our novice writers are especially excited about using the spacer to help them put spaces in between their words. This has made a huge difference, because now their writing is more legible and easier to read. The students are using the materials daily and they take much pride in the work that they do!

Once again, thank you for being a partner in our year long "Authors of Tomorrow project!" You have made the writing workshop a much more pleasant and personal experience for my first graders!”
