Teaming Up With the Beat of a Drum!
Funded Feb 13, 2018Thank you for funding my "Teaming Up With the Beat of a Drum" project request! Between the PE and Music Departments, we now have seven sets of marching drum line percussion instruments. This means that we are more than half of the way to meeting our ideal goal. Donors like you have brought us from nothing to having our first ever team marching band.
We are too excited for words! Our first team event is coming up in late March and everyone is waiting in great anticipation to hear those percussionists play their hearts out. We are truly grateful for your support."”

Funded Jan 23, 2018Thank you so much for funding this "Cheering and Teaming the Tigers' Way!" project. Some teachers were present when we opened the boxes, and it brought back such wonderful childhood memories that they are considering having a teachers' team competing against 5th-grade in the potato sack and three-legged races on field day!
The cheer-leader uniforms are so beautiful that we almost want to leave them in the bags so they would not get soiled. The children are going to all want to be part of the cheer-leading team and it is going to be difficult to decide.
Most importantly, the bottoms for our marching band and team outfits are of high quality and so durable, that we made requests for more so that all of our athletes are uniformed when we go on field trips or visiting games.
This November, we will be going all out for the Thanksgiving Parade. None of this would have been possible had it not been for you.”

Funded Jan 25, 2018Thank you for supporting my "Sparking It Up With Technology and Knowledge During P.E." request. We just received the last item, which was the actual curriculum for my health awareness, exercise and nutrition lessons. The children are going to learn so much more about their bodies and how to stay healthy.
I cannot wait to start presenting class by class on the Chromebooks and now I can store my students' info electronically, also on the Chromebooks. Keeping track of BMI and growth charts can now be done with a click of a mouse, thanks to you. Our P.E. department has finally caught up with the rest of the school in terms of technology and STEAM requirements. We are forever grateful.”

Funded Nov 27, 2017Thank you for funded this project. We have already begun using the skipping ropes during P.E. time as well as during daily recess. Now, two classes can enjoy the same activity simultaneously and there is no more waiting in turn to participate. You have brought joy, smiles, and laughter to over 500 students, and for this, we are truly grateful.
Early next year, we are hoping to have a family fun day, now that we have the resources to accommodate both lower and upper elementary students, unlike previous years. Words cannot express our gratefulness.”

Funded Feb 28, 2017Thank you for supporting our project! I already received one of the two speakers and it came just in time for our pep rally next week! The speaker sound is awesome and fills up almost all of the playground area with sound. We cannot wait to try out both speakers together to hear the full effect.
Your impact is so great that we are considering having morning workouts while the children are in the waiting area before teachers pick them up. Research shows that music, as well as exercise, stimulates the brain and increases blood flow, which would benefit our students and set them off to a productive start every day.”

Funded Jan 26, 2016Dear donors,
I wish to sincerely thank you for the Physical Education (P.E) supplies and equipment you granted to our students. Because of your generosity, we were able to have two successful field day activities, filled with more activities and variety than ever seen at our school.
The pictures I posted will show the enthusiasm and excitement in our students' eyes as some of them embarked in physical challenges such as the potato sack race, that they have never participated in, and some have never heard of before field day.
We were able to have more than half of our student body complete at a time this year as there were sufficient games, balls, etc., to expand the competition. Not only the best of the best, but everyone who was willing to compete, got to compete and have tons of fun. The PE resources you afforded us will continue to be a vital part in our fight against childhood obesity.”
