  • Hybrid Safety for Graphic Design Students

    Funded Sep 28, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting my project Hybrid Safety for Graphic Design students.

This has truly been a difficult school year for everyone in my school community. We had only been in school and in person for a month and then went to all remote because of the high coronavirus numbers in our area. Luckily the packages arrived just in time before the students suddenly went fully remote. When the packages started arriving we were still in school and I was able to hand out the face masks, the face shields, hand sanitizer, the sketchbooks and the colored pencils out to all of my students.

The students were absolutely amazed and delighted to receive these wonderful gifts.

The loved the all of the safety items and the art supplies . They put the masks on right away and immediately started drawing using their colored pencils and sketchbooks. They also used the hand sanitizer every time I saw them. I could tell that they felt safer after receiving these supplies.

This donation has really made an impact on my middle school graphic arts students.

Having these supplies has made it a lot easier to express themselves through their drawing. They are currently working on a travel presentation and have created designs about places that they will travel to one day soon. It has given them an outlet that they really need to express themselves .They have been able to plan out and create their designs. They have done amazing drawings , of Egypt, Tokyo and Hawaii and have imported them in to their presentations.

Thank you so much My students have been successful thanks to you .”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bingay

  • Learning how to code

    Funded Apr 17, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Since My students have received the new headphones they have become experts in code . They are able to focus on the coding program because of the headphones help them concentrate. A lot of them have completed many of the levels on code.org. They told me that because of this donation they will continue to seek coding classes in high school after they graduate .

The memory cards have also really helped them because they can save their certificates to the card and print them out on the printer. The certificates allow them to show off their work to their parents and friends and they are very, very proud.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bingay

  • Art in the Digital Age

    Funded Dec 30, 2016

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. All of my students have truly benefited from your generous donation. They have used the amazing camera throughout the year to take pictures of school events which have been used for the yearbook. They have used the ipads to take pictures of their drawings and have edited them in Photoshop to create their artwork. They have used the ink to print out their fabulous artwork. They are so happy when their work is printed out in color and displayed for all to see. All of this would not have been possible without your donation. You have really made a difference !”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bingay

  • A Printer For Our Yearbook

    Funded Oct 29, 2015

Thank you Donors for supporting my students in their student created project - A printer for Our Yearbook. My 8th grade students were so excited to receive their color printer several months ago. They could hardly believe that their proposal for a color printer was fully funded. Before receiving the printer, students were unable to print out their work. They could only see their yearbook pages on the computer. Because of your generosity, I was able to print out their yearbook pages and write comments on them for my students. Based on the printout they were able to make the corrections. It was so much easier for them to make the corrections because they had the printout in their hands. My students have successfully completed 40 out of the 80 pages for the yearbook. Their pages came out great and they are now working on the second half of the yearbook which is due in April. Thanks to your donation, the 8th grade senior class will have a fabulous yearbook. Another benefit of having a color printer is that I am able to print out the artwork that my students create using Adobe Photoshop. Their amazing artwork has been displayed throughout the school. I have received many compliments on my students artwork from administrators, staff and parents. Having a color printer has truly made an impact. Thank you so much for caring.”

  • Cameras For Our Yearbook

    Funded Sep 19, 2015

Thank you so much for supporting my classes project " Cameras for our Yearbook". The 3 digital cameras that you donated to my classroom has really helped my students so much this year with the creation of their yearbook. Many of them had never used a camera before and are now very proficient at using one. As soon as we received the cameras , I taught my students how to use them. They are all now very good at taking photographs, editing them and placing them on the yearbook website to create their pages. Before receiving the 3 cameras they had to beg me to use my camera. Thanks to you they have all had a chance to take great pictures with these fabulous cameras. So far my students have completed 1/2 of their 80 pages for the yearbook. The pages that they created look amazing. Your donation has allowed them to capture great memories of their senior year. Their yearbook will be enjoyed by over 800 8th grade students. If it wasn't for your donation , creating an amazing yearbook wouldn't be possible.”

  • Capturing Yearbook Memories

    Funded Jan 9, 2010

Thank you Donors for supporting my project "Capturing Yearbook Memories". The HP scanner that you donated  to my classroom has helped my students  so much this year. Many of them had never used a scanner before and are now able to use one. As soon as we received the scanner I taught my classes how to use it and they are now scanning  their artwork and photographs to use for various projects every day.

Having a scanner in the classroom has allowed my students to scan pictures and artwork on their own. They have created some outstanding art  projects  with the help of using the scanner. Having a scanner in the classroom has also made working on the yearbook so much easier. I no longer have to go home and scan hundreds of photographs and artwork for my students.  Students worked together to scan over 100 photographs to use for the yearbook. Their yearbook pages came out great!

Your donation has opened  my students up to new technology.  If it had not been for your donation , my students would have never learned how to use a scanner. You have opened up a world of many possibilities for them.

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bingay
