I teach third grade this year. 85% of our population is at a low socio-economic level. Families are loyal to our small school and community-several generations have grown up and stayed in the area. The majority of my students have limited resources and academic support at home, but parents willingly contribute where possible. My students are eager to learn and do best when I meet them where they are with materials that interest and engage them.
