  • Sculpting Our Future!

    Funded Mar 15, 2021

My students got to experience the process of casting and molding their own hands. It was their favorite project of the year. They used the materials to mix, pour, and create a silicone mold of their hands. They mixed and poured plaster into the mold to create a cast of their hand. When finished they painted their hand sculpture in their own unique way. The hand sculptures were sealed by dipping them in resin. They will never forget the opportunity to explore a new process and art careers. Thank you again for your support”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jenkins

  • Textile Art Is Sew Good!

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity for my students! They will be thrilled to be able to learn a new skill. I cannot wait to share with them the amazing news! Their creativity will continue to flourish due to your generous donation. Again, thank you so much for supporting our program.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jenkins

  • Art in 3D!

    Funded Apr 9, 2021

Words cannot describe how excited I am for my students to receive this 3D printer! Thank you so much for this gracious gift. My students have never worked with this technology before and will be so excited to implement it in as many ways possible! Again thank you so much for supporting our small school and the arts!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jenkins

My students have been studying occupations in the real world that utilize art skills. Being in a rural town in a small school district my students did not think drawing and painting would get them many job opportunities, but there are so many art processes/skills out there! These supplies will allow my students to explore the sculptural process of casting and molding. They will learn about Casters and Molders, and what job opportunities they have. My students will be able to do a live casting of their hands with plaster from an alginate powder based mold. Casting and molding are skills that are used in numerous manufacturing and art related occupations.
