Fresh Start to a New School Year!
Funded Aug 13, 2018Starting a new school year can be a little overwhelming, especially when you move grades. Thank you for bringing this project to life. This project was written to make sure that we started the year off with some essential items that were needed to set our routines into place.
Each subject has a designated folder to help us keep our ongoing and completed work. Our science and social studies folders help us keep our observations organized and easily accessible. The writing and math folders are used every day to store all of the completed work. We also use a homework folder to send home the assignments and to communicate with the families. The bright colors help us easily determine which folder is for each subject. The students love the selection of colors and that they each have a folder of their own.
Every morning we start our day with word study. During this time we learn many skills that are helping us become better readers and writers. We practice many of the skills on the rug using dry erase boards and the dry erase markers. The students love to work with the markers, they think it's a special treat. With your generous contributions we have enough markers for all of the class to use.
Your kindness and generosity is remembered every day that we use our supplies. We can't thank you enough for helping us start the new school year on the right foot.”

Funded May 30, 2018We have only been in school for a few days and your donations have been put to good use. The class walked into a room filled with all the art supplies that they could wish for. We wanted to get right into the groove of things and started working on our first self portraits, a selfie of ourselves. We used the the pencils to DRAW, the sharpies to TRACE and the erasers to ERASE. These are the simple steps we follow in all of our art projects. We then used our medium of choice to color it in and the final project was displayed on our class bulletin board for all to see on the brightly colored cardstock. This was only the first project completed this year but surely not the last. Our social studies units, and all of our work, will be more colorful thanks to your big hearts and your generous donation. Thank you again for helping bring my students work to life!”

Funded Sep 24, 2016Thank you so much for helping fund this project. We couldn't have started the year without all of your support. The resources have helped the class ease into first grade. We all have our poetry notebooks, reading and writing folder and all the other supplies to keep our math, reading, science, social studies and writing blocks going. With the variety of paper that was donated we have made various math and reading games to help make learning a little more fun. The class was so touched to see that you cared to help us get all the tools we needed to make learning happen! Words cannot express how grateful I am to all of you!”
