  • iPad for Differentiation & Tech Versatility

    Funded Feb 18, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom by providing and iPad that will support differentiation and tech versatility for my students. I appreciate the ongoing funding opportunities to help teachers like me get what we need for our classrooms allowing us to continue to innovate and design instruction to support student success.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Young

  • SEL and Art

    Funded Nov 18, 2023

Aloha and Mahalo! My students have been able to engage in many hands on activities that allow them to socialize and work together and most importantly - express their creativity! When my students first saw the shipments of art supplies they were so excited and couldn't wait to see what we were doing. When we started to learn how to paint and mold clay they were especially excited as a few of them have never worked with clay before!

Since our supplies have been put to good use, students are determined to work hard and are motivated to improve their own art skills. In the future, we want to learn more techniques and work on creating a positive relationship with arts and crafts. Students are excited to continue to express themselves!”

  • Basic Classroom Supplies

    Funded Mar 2, 2023

Mahalo Kakou (thank you everyone) for your generosity in helping my kula (school), haumana (students), and papa (class) get supplies that were much needed. The earbuds in particular will support our standardized testing process schoolwide, meeting the needs of far more than just my classroom and students. Sometimes it is such a struggle to get these items that just make things function more easily and much better overall. Your donations have helped everyone in my kula kaiaulu (school community). Thank You!”

  • Classroom Supplies

    Funded Oct 31, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom, it is deeply appreciated. The earbuds, books, storage supplies, and laptop storage have streamlined my departments classroom spaces and created more organization and a more appropriate environment overall.

Over the span of the COVID-19 pandemic many classrooms were changed, reorganized, and teacher were displaced from their regular classrooms with short notice resulting in many of the supplies being lost, misplaced, or reassigned. This project helped remedy that loss.”

  • Adventure, Creativity, Imagination, Exploration, and SEL with D&D

    Funded Mar 6, 2022

Wow, that was quick! All materials were received and I am excited for the opportunities this will provide for students. We have everything we need to start table top gaming to further social and emotional learning at school. The supplies that this project has procured will ensure that any adult willing will be able to facilitate (i.e. Dungeon Master) D&D games that will help teach our students team work, literacy skills like story telling and characterization, and decision making and consequences, while also utilizing their creativity and imagination. And it's all thanks to you!”

  • Interactive Math For All!

    Funded Aug 22, 2015

Thank you everyone who donated to this project. You have helped my students beyond belief. Due to a recent break in, these Ipads have been the only thing allowing my students to access the Internet in my class. It has proved to be a true life saver and couldn't have come at a better time.

When I first told the students we would be getting Ipads they honestly could not believe it. Now, working on them for learning games, testing, checking grades, and interactive manipulatives have really changed how they learn math. We truly appreciate your support!”

  • Math, Money, Life Skills & More!

    Funded May 3, 2015

When we first received our customizable whiteboard, the students were anxious excited to assist me in putting it up. They thought it was so cool to have a giant version of the plastic slips we use. They were both shocked and grateful when I explained to them how we were able to attain such an awesome addition to our classroom. They gave a big mahalo to all of you helped!

We recently use the whiteboard as a "Cheat Codes" board where it functions as a parking lot for concepts and formulas we learn. In previous arrangements we used it for charts and graphing. We plan to use it a lot in geometry where we will be able to place the shapes behind the clear cover to practice solving formulas for area, circumference, perimeter, volume, etc.

This project has boosted my students' learning tremendously because it allows for collaboration and for students to teach each other.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Young

Aloha from Waimanalo! The students here enjoy soaking up the sun and hanging out at the nearby beach shores of our small town. Although we have a rather small student population, our school plays a very large part in our community. Our school is located in a predominantly rural, low-income neighborhood with a considerable portion of the children of Hawaii and/or Pacific Island ancestry. Students at our school are very easy going and also easy to please. Teaching my students is very rewarding because they are appreciative for even the littlest of things such as: finding an extra binder for a student to have or opening your classroom at recess for a place to work. They are the group of kids that make you want to go above and beyond for.
