I teach three classes of six students with autism. These students are in a high school environment but are functioning on an elementary school level. Technology is a huge part of my students lives, whether they enjoy drawing, making music, playing video games or movies. I have found that with the use of technology and multimedia presentations I can increase student engagement. Integrating technology into each of my lessons has allowed my students to connect with the social studies material.
