  • Stackable Stools

    Funded Jan 19, 2024

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation of stackable stools to our first-grade classroom. Your support means the world to us and has made a significant impact on the learning environment for my students.

The stackable stools you donated have revolutionized our classroom setup. We have created a cozy reading nook where students can comfortably sit and immerse themselves in books. The stools have also allowed for more flexible seating arrangements during group activities, fostering collaboration and creativity among the students. One specific project that stands out is when we used the stools for a science experiment on buoyancy. Each student had their own stool to conduct their mini-experiment, which not only made the activity more engaging but also encouraged independence and critical thinking skills.

The excitement and joy on my students' faces when they first saw the stackable stools were priceless. They immediately recognized that these were not just ordinary stools but tools that would enhance their learning experience. The colorful design of the stools added a fun element to our classroom, creating a vibrant and inviting space for all.

In our upcoming lessons, we will be focusing on a creative writing project where each student will have the opportunity to write and illustrate their own storybook. The stackable stools will play a crucial role in this project as they provide a comfortable and conducive space for students to unleash their imagination and work on their stories independently.

Once again, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generosity and support. Your donation has truly made a difference in the lives of my students, providing them with an enriched learning environment that inspires growth and creativity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ntelekos

  • First Graders Need Chromebooks For Science Inquiry- Part 1

    Funded Sep 16, 2016

Thank you for your extremely generous contribution. The chrome books have revolutionized my classroom. My students have never been more thrilled to be able to take a chrome book and work on their own. The sense of pride this has build in my students has been immeasurable. Our Iready reading and math scores are soaring. It is exciting as a teacher to see my students excel and improve and love coming to school. That is the true gift of teaching. I can not thank you enough.

    You are the very BEST!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ntelekos

  • First Graders Need Chromebooks For Science Inquiry! Part 2

    Funded Sep 16, 2016

My class was so thrilled to receive chrome books. We can not thank you enough for your wondrous gift. We now have a mini computer lab in our very own classroom. These chrome books have provided my students with the means to practice reading, writing, and math skills. Your gift has helped my students in all areas of study and help them gain a greater understanding in implementing the use of technology. Students are able to use the chrome books to go on school educational websites to help them improve their reading and math skills.

Thank you for your generous gift.”

  • Listening Center Needed For First Graders!

    Funded May 25, 2016

Thank you for this really great listening center. The impact it has had on my children is already tremendous. First of all, they all like feeling special by wearing headphones and listening to a story. The listening center allows for all children to participate in discussions, not just the ones that can read the book.

The added benefit for me is that eight children using the listening center makes for easier small group instruction. When you have 28 students its difficult to teach one group and keep the other students busy learning.

    You are the BEST!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ntelekos

  • First Graders Need Kindle Fire Tablets!

    Funded May 25, 2016

Thank you again for the generous gift of Kindle Fire Tablets. When they arrived to my classroom there was a ripple of excitement that wove its way through my children. They were truly grateful to be able to use the tablets for reading. We also have a number of approved websites that we can now explore.

I have one particular student who truly can not stand the thought of reading. He literally puts his head down on the desk when we pull out the textbooks. However, the tablets have given him a new drive toward reading. Already he has requested reading just for the opportunity to use our new Kindle Fires.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ntelekos

  • Help! We Need A Canon Color Copier!

    Funded Mar 2, 2016

Thank you so very much for the great addition to my classroom of a Cannon laser copy machine. It was a very exciting moment in the class when it was delivered to our room. My children were all atwitter at the thought that their work will now be printed in living color.

We have already printed our Oobleck observation sheets. Having the green splat on the sheet makes our experiment seem realistic. The Dr. Suess book also printed in color, which proved to be thrilling.

Thank you again. You are the BEST!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ntelekos

I am a first grade teacher in an elementary school located in the Bronx, New York. This has been a wonderful experience as my students are incredibility eager to learn. Plus they want to show what they learn to everyone in the class. This is difficult, as the classroom only has a Smartboard to write upon, otherwise we are using chart paper.
