My students are eager to enter first grade and begin their school careers as "big kids." They are anxious to be real readers--not just students learning to read. Although our school building is old (40 years old!) the students are on the cutting edge of education. Our students are offered Chinese Immersion beginning in First Grade. As they are becoming proficient with the English language they are also working toward proficiency in a second language for half of the school day. Our parents are eager for the students to take advantage of every opportunity to be at the cutting edge in their educational experiences. Technology is a part of their everyday lives at home and school.
