My students need chrome books to follow and create simulations to real world investing strategies. These strategies will encompass challenging mathematical practices such as calculating percentages, compounding interest, multiplying and dividing with decimals. Learning how the stock market works will provide students with ample motivation to improve their math skills. In fact, this project will change student's intrinsic motivation towards math in a positive manner. To add, this will be a great opportunity for the students to experience some concrete applications of many math concept that are usually so abstract with no connections. Lastly, learning about investments should be a lifelong reward.

About my class
