Pottery Wheel
Funded Jul 23, 2021We received our new pottery wheel and we couldn't be more thrilled! Students are so excited to try their hand at throwing pottery instead of just hand-building with clay all the time so this really is a game changer. Receiving this pottery wheel has motivated students to push themselves within the ceramic program and is a big step in making sure we have similar resources as other schools so we can give our students an equal opportunity. I want to thank you all for your generous donations, it really has meant so much to us here at Barry Goldwater.”

This classroom project was brought to life by T-Mobile and 17 other donors.Producing Professional Photographs
Funded Nov 28, 2019My photography class and I are so beyond excited for this new equipment. Through these generous donations, we were funded SD Cards & readers, tripods, and a new DSLR camera.
The camera that we received has many different functions so that students are able to practice with the various ways of taking professional photographs. This is not an easy task! They must learn how to use a camera manually which takes some practice but with this skill they will be able to understand cameras in the future which will open up opportunities for them.
These students are passionate about photography and with more cameras and equipment in their hands, they are able to take a passion and turn it into a skill. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care in my students, their interests, and helping to push them in this field. We are so humbled that we were able to get such an incredible project donated and will treat this equipment with great care.”

A Dash of Color
Funded Aug 28, 2018I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for your contributions, this project meant so much to myself and my students. They are able to create high quality works of art that will be on par with other high schools with these supplies and it also has given them so much inspiration on all the things they can do with color pencils. Thank you for helping in providing to my classroom and my students. We will cherish and care for these supplies for a long time coming. We appreciate you and all that you have done to help out. Remember by supporting the arts, we are supporting students in learning life skills, problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, as well as support in their core subjects. The Fine Arts brings joy to students' school day and is often a great push in getting them to school everyday. Thank you dearly.”
