Readers Are Future Leaders!
Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you all for your generous contribution to our kindergarten classroom. I was able to buy quite a few early reader collections to put in our kindergarten classroom library. The students are free to choose what books on their level interest them. The students look forward to choosing new leveled readers every Monday.
Thanks to you there is a huge selection of just right readers. The books are leveled and are helpful in having them become strong readers. These books have strong picture support as well as decodable words. There are plenty of fiction and non fiction books to choose from. These books have helped boost their reading confidence! My kindergarten students will soon be paired up with our 5th graders so they can have practice showing what they know. The leveled books will be used to practice their reading, as well as discussing the books with their 5th grade reading partner.
Thanks to your donation I was able to purchase a generous amount of books. I have provided opportunities to share these books with their families at home. The students are very proud to being them home every Friday to read and share with their families. My students know that the only way to become a good reader is to read! My new leveled library is providing plenty of chances to do so! Thank you for all your support. xo”

Funded Aug 9, 2020Thank you! Your kindness has helped me this year with my Pre- K students. When I was told that I would be teaching 100% remotely from home, I was filled with anxiety! I wondered what supplies I needed that could help me engage my young learners and keep them focused. Having a flannel board and flannel board story pieces is a must in every early childhood classroom! It helps the students participate, sing, and bring stories to life! I have used these materials since day one and I thank you for helping me purchase them. When my students see the various characters or songs pieces show up on the flannel board, their eyes light up. Most of my students have never seen a story told this way. Parents have shared with me that their children are learning so much language and have incorporated the new stories and songs when they play at home. I will continue to use these valuable tools as the years go by. Thank you.”
