School Supplies for a World of Learning!
Funded Aug 16, 2023One of the first things that each child does when he or she arrives to school is to place their book bags and coats inside the big Ziploc Jumbo bags. Since they share cubbies, their personal belongings are safe from germs inside the bag. In addition, each child has his /her storage box where they have their own pencils, crayons, markers, erasers, scissors, pencils, and glue sticks. They like to use their supplies to create art and to use during all classroom assignments. My students enjoy using their pencils, crayons, and markers to show their work.
When my students first saw their materials, they were elated. They could not wait to start cutting with their scissors, pasting with their glue sticks, and writing with their
pencils. They loved the idea that everything in the storage box belong to them. Every storage box is labeled with their names and all their materials are neatly organized. Furthermore, the classroom connector folders are a great way to communicate with my parents. All notices and homework are kept organized inside the folders as well.
To conclude, my students will continue to use their materials in all content areas. They will continue to create and learn while staying in a safe environment.”

The bags have given the parents a piece of mind knowing that their children's personal belongings are safe from germs inside the bag. In addition, each child has his /her storage box where they have their own pencils, crayons, markers, erasers, scissors, pencils, and glue sticks. They like to use their supplies to create art and to use during Center time. Moreover, when creating pictures of their families, drawing their self-portraits, and designing dream-catchers, my students used their crayons, and markers to show their work.

Funded Aug 9, 2022Thank you so much for your extremely generous donations in helping me to provide the visual tools that my students need in Pre-K. My Pre-Kindergarten students learn best when they are able to visually see what they are being taught. Having the Epson EcoTank color printer in my classroom has been great! I have been able to print banners, signs, worksheets, vocabulary words and pictures for my students. What I love the most is how it has increased my students' interest in the subject matter. Furthermore, by having the color printer in the classroom, I have noticed my students are more engaged with color materials, and it is supporting tremendous creativity and innovation in the classroom.
Thanks again, for helping to increase my visual learner students engagement, boost learning effectively, and for providing the visual aids they need to succeed in school.”

Funded Apr 7, 2022Thank you so much for your extremely generous donations in helping me to provide the visual tools through technology. My Pre-Kindergarten students learn best when they are able to visually see what they are being taught. I am able to use the tablets during our study of units to find online sites with photos and facts. Furthermore, I have noticed that it has increased my students' interest in the subject matter. They want to explore the topic being taught through educational activities apps.
By using the Fire HD 10 Kids Tablets in my classroom, I am giving my students the advantages of using electronic devices in learning literacy development, mathematics, science, and problem solving. Presently, the Kids tablets are being used in small groups to reinforce Math and Phonics Skills. They are learning how to take turns touching on the screen to hear stories. In addition, the tablets have helped my students in increasing their comprehension and vocabulary skills as well.
It is greatly appreciated, and I cannot thank you enough. May God bless you all.”

Funded Sep 8, 2021Your generosity in helping my students get the school supplies they need is highly appreciated. My classroom consists of children who are eager to learn and are very artistic. One of the first things that each child does when he or she arrives to school is to place their book bags and coats inside the big Ziploc Jumbo bags. The bags have given the parents a piece of mind knowing that their children's personal belongings are safe from germs inside the bag.

They could not wait to start cutting with their scissors, pasting with their glue sticks, and coloring with their jumbo crayons. They loved the idea that everything in the storage box belong to them. Every storage box was labeled with their names and they did not have to worry about germs being shared. Furthermore, the parents appreciated the Home/School Connector folders.

Let's Find Out About the World!
Funded Sep 1, 2020This project has been the one that has been the closest to my heart because reading Nonfiction to my students has been the gateway to knowledge. Scholastics News has helped my students to enjoy learning about real people, real places and they have learned to appreciate other people's cultures. In the November edition, my students learned about the importance of voting. Therefore, I set up a voting booth where the children were able to choose who they believed would be our next president. They also learned about Thanksgiving and the importance of giving thanks to the Veterans who have served our country.
The Spin Science magazines have inspire them to think as scientists. They learned to observe, ask questions, and they enjoy learning about the world. Furthermore, they learned how scientists use different ways to study the world.
I read an article by Michael Benninger that said; "Reading Nonfiction is a workout for your brain because it improves memory and analytical skills." I truly believe in his statement because I see the impact that Nonfiction reading has done for my students.”

Air Quality Matters for Learning and Wellness!
Funded Oct 22, 2020I am so grateful to have the Honeywell HPA200 Purifier in my classroom. My students were very curious to see it. They were asking questions about it. They wanted to know why did we have that "black box" as they described it. I explained to them that the air purifier will help us breathe better and that the air in our classroom will be fresher and cleaner with few allergens and germs.
I like that the air purifier is quiet (sometimes I forget that we have one.) It has easy tap controls, an auto-off timer, and 4 cleaning levels for germs, allergens, general clean and turbo. Furthermore, it is a great feeling to know that it is impacting my students learning and wellness.
Thank you once again for providing my students with clean, fresh air!”
