My children, as I like to call them, come from very diverse backgrounds, cultures and academic abilities. One-third of my students receive ELL services. I also have children who receive academic services such as speech therapy and occupational therapy. In addition, I have children who are academically gifted. One thing my children have in common is that they share the love of learning new concepts and skills, especially in reading and math. Unfortunately, many of my students do not have access to technology at home. In our classroom we have two tabletop computers that are difficult for the children to navigate without adult supervision, which leads to frustration. Unfortunately, I do not have a paraprofessional or teaching assistant to help.
