Kindergarten is a crucial time! It is the year that sets the tone for the rest of the students' academic careers. A HUGE part of the kindergarten day is spent in all together on the classroom rug. The classroom rug is where we begin our day, listen to stories, practice mindfulness, problem solve and engage in deep heart felt conversations. Our current rug is fraying and dirty and is not inviting to sit on. I think that a new rug will add warmth to our classroom. It will allow students to be more comfortable in our room, and it will make our room feel more like home.
