Ninth grade students are required to take High School 101, a course that teaches skills necessary for a smooth transition into high school. The course teaches skills that help our students be successful in high school, college and careers after school. We teach motivation, time management, healthy living, goal setting, soft skills, financial skills, resume writing, and have our students research careers and colleges. Many of our units incorporate programs that require listening to online lessons. Many of our students do not have headphones that are compatible with the laptops they are given from the district. These headphones will allow them to listen to the lessons without bothering nearby students. They can be brought to class when we are in-person and used at home when we are virtual. We have already had to go through both situations this year!
