  • Bouncing to Success

    Funded Jan 25, 2016

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. The bouncy chairs you have helped me purchase has created an exciting learning experience for my students.

Many of my students are hyperactive and struggle to sit still. The bouncy chairs have provided my students with the opportunity to learn, work, and get their wiggles at simultaneously. Everyday three students are selected to sit in the bouncy chairs. My students always look forward to their day.

Thank you again for your generous donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Margolis

  • Reading Takes Us Places

    Funded Aug 1, 2015

My students are loving, kind, respectful, and motivated 4th graders. Working at a Title I elementary school in Nashville, teachers and students receive very little resources. The books you donated to my classroom built my students passion for reading and have provided them with a variety of stories to choose from. Every time I read them one of the stories you donated their faces light up, being fully engaged in the text. The students are intrigued by the strong themes, illustrations, and connections to the stories they are reading.

My students are using the resources you donated during Daily 5 center time. My students are eager to select a story and either read it to themselves or with a friend. I also read the stories aloud to teach a variety of reading skills.

My students are learning English as a second language, eager to become fluent readers, speakers, and writers of English. The resources you have donated have opened my students eyes to the magic of reading. Even though my students' must overcome language barriers and family income, they have huge dreams and aspirations for their own future as well as their families' future. Thank you for taking part in my students' education helping them grow academically and morally through the stories you have donated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Margolis
