  • A Seat at the (Learning) Table

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The table we received has help to create a dedicated space for small group learning. The students have a comfortable place to read, write and have discussions with their peers. The table has been a really great addition to our classroom and has made learning in a comfortable environment easier. It's really cute, too!

Small group learning is an essential part of a successful classroom. It gives teachers the opportunity to get to know their students' specific needs and gives students time to interact with their teacher and ask the questions they need to ask. Having the furniture and materials to create a dedicated place for this type of learning to happen is an important part of a successful classroom. Your donation to our classroom made this possible and will affect students for years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martin

  • Everyone Gets a Seat

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. These stools are not only cute, but are very useful. We have been using these stools as part of our new, and very comfortable small group learning area. The stools are also easy to move around the classroom so we can form small groups in other areas as need. They have been a really great addition to our classroom and have made learning in a comfortable environment easier.

  • Headphones Needed!

    Funded Nov 6, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Having these new headphones has made using technology in the classroom much easier.

The materials in this project are so important because they help students at every level. When I use technology in the classroom it becomes easier to differentiate instruction and meet the different needs of my students. Having a pair of headphones for each student to use is essential. The headphones help the students to focus on the activity that they have been assigned and limits the opportunity to be distracted by the other students work.

These materials are a great addition to my classroom and they will help my students this year and for years to come. Thank you for choosing to help my class!”

  • Painting Supplies Needed!

    Funded Oct 27, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Having these new materials has allowed my class to explore expressing themselves using paint as a medium.

The materials in this project are so important because they help students at every level. My students get really excited when they see the paint supplies coming out of the closet. They know they will get an opportunity to create something and express themselves. This can really give a voice to students who are struggling in academic areas.

These materials are a great addition to my classroom and they will help my students this year and for years to come. Thank you for choosing to help my class!”

  • Reading by Touch: Tactile Material for Learning to Read

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Using these new materials to enhance my reading lessons has really made an impact.

The materials in this project are so important because they help students at every level. We received tactile letters for students who are just beginning to learn to read and tactile word blending cards for students who are further along in their reading journey. Using tactile materials allows students to engage in reading using the sense of touch. This can help them to access their knowledge on another level and make them more successful readers.

These materials are a great addition to my classroom and they will help my students this year and for years to come. Thank you for choosing to help my class!”

  • Hands-on Math Is Fun!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. Being able to teach math with hands-on materials has helped to improve my students understanding of the concepts we are learning and gotten them excited about math.

The students absolutely love when we use the math manipulatives. We use them to enhance lessons and teach specific skills but the students feel like it is playtime whenever I hand out the materials. Using these materials helps to generate conversations about the concepts being taught and reinforces the lessons. This helps the students have a deeper understanding of the concept being taught.

Your generous donation to our classroom will impact my students this year and for years to come. Thank you for choosing to help my classroom.”

  • The Classroom Rug: The Place to Be!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. You have provided a clean, comfortable place for my students to learn. The new rug has also made the classroom more visually pleasing and that is an important part of a classroom environment.

When my students first saw the new rug they were very excited. They couldn't stop talking about how pretty it was. They still enjoy showing each other the letters and pictures that they see on the rug. It has really been a great improvement for our classroom.

The best part about this rug is that it will be enjoyed by my classes for years to come. Thank you again for choosing to help our classroom!”

  • Hold My Book!

    Funded Jul 25, 2023

Getting this Big Book Holder has had a big impact in my classroom. It makes it much easier to view big books and discuss the stories and text on the page. The students also use the bottom magnetic surface to build sight words. Sight word knowledge is very important in learning to read and write.

When my student saw this new addition to our classroom they were very excited. Everyone wanted a turn using the magnetic letters and coming up to find words in our big books. It also has a nice storage area in the back which is nice for organizing supplies. That made me very happy.

We are continuing to learn about books and words while using our book holder. Our goal is to get everyone reading and writing by the end of the school year. Having this item will be a big help. Thank you!”

  • Take Me to the Library!

    Funded May 12, 2023

I want to thank you again for your generous donation to our classroom. The new book bins are a great addition to our classroom library. It is so much easier to keep things organized because these new bins are large. They also allow the children to look through and select books easily. They are bright and eye-catching which adds a fun look to the classroom. My students were so excited to see them!

The Kindergarten year is so important in many ways. It is often the time when children learn to read independently and develop a love of reading. I want to continue to foster that love in my students by giving them access to a large variety of books and giving them time and space to explore the books they love. I'm hoping that their experiences in our classroom library will inspire them to become life-long readers.”
