Seating Choice
Funded Mar 13, 2019I would like to thank you for your donation. As soon as my students received the seats today they were so excited. Many of my students with disabilities have a hard time sitting at the table, they like to learn or read anywhere in the room. These seats allow for both to happen.
I like try to promote a culture in my classroom where students are aware you don't have to sit behind a desk to learn, you can learn from anywhere in the classroom. The seats relaxed one of my students who can not stay still for long, once he sat in the chair ( with rules applied) I found he concentrated and sat an read with out constantly getting up.
Once again ,thank you for your donation.”

Give Me Some Information
Funded Mar 13, 2019I would like to personally thank you for your donation for the informational books that my classroom so badly needed. Many of my students will always pick a fiction book to read over an informational book. Since we received the listening informational books my students are now inclined to listen and read informational text. The books came in right on time because we are now in our informational books about animals.
These listening books allows my students ( especially my English language learners) to here and work on their fluency and they can hear a story with different intonation as well by listening to it. once again thank you for your donation.”

Let's Listen and Learn Phonics
Funded Mar 6, 2019Thank you for donating to the phonic listening centers. My students were so excited to receive the center and is very engaged when they are using the centers. The centers also allows me to work with others students, while the listen and learn phonics centers allowed my students to be taught through listening. Also these centers encourages my students to listen and pay attention. That is something my students with disabilities struggle with. So, the listening portion allows my students to be independent and make them more responsible for completing the task.
Once again from my classroom to you, thank you.”

Learn and Move
Funded Jan 26, 2019My students and I want to thank you for the seats. Many of my students have a problem with sitting sit, but are very capable of learning and listening. These seats allow them to move and learn. The seats also allowed me to have a more flexible seating in my classroom, where learning can happened in a non traditional way.
My students were excited to have seats where they can move, and keep working. My students plan on using this chair when they find it hard to focus because they are unable to control their movement.
From my classroom to you, thank you for your donation.”

Funded Oct 30, 2018Math is a hard subject for my students to grasp. That my students are visual and tactile learners, they were excited to receive the materials, and also to create art using the materials.
My students love the math kits because it help them think of how to create a project for math ( especially fractions) that' what we are working on now. I think a new project I would like to do with my students is to create a class math project. Something that require team participation and collaboration.
Once again thank you for your donation, from my class to you, it was greatly appreciated.”

Lets' Boost Up Reading
Funded Oct 30, 2018Thank you for the books. A lesson I have taught is retelling. The books that I received went with puppets I had for the books. I was able to give my students pieces of the puppet, then after I read, the students had to retell the story using the pieces.
Reading is something that takes place in my classroom on an independent level , as well as a whole group read aloud, or as instructional purposes. These books allowed itself into anyone of these areas for learning.
The books on tape my ELL students especially enjoy because it helps them with learning new words, and helps them with fluency. From my classroom to you, thank you.”

Reading Matters
Funded Sep 17, 2018I want to thank you for your donations of the listening center. Its amazing , the center helped my students with their fluency, and comprehension. I am able to do group work with my students where they are able to discuss as a group the story they heard. The listening center provided my students a sense of independence because they are able to listen a story with out having to rely on the teacher to read and they can manipulate and hear a story at their convenience. Once again I want to thank you for donation.”
