Thank you for your donation. Many of my students continuously eat throughout the day. I recognize that when they are hungry they refuse to learn. The snacks you provided ( fruit cups, single Pringle, and the variety of snacks box) can allow my students to get a quick snack to keep their brains functioning. Also, many of my students parents can't afford to buy snacks for their child and sometimes my students will come to school upset. These snacks allow me to send my students to lunch with a snack .”
Thank you for your donation of the fidget toys, feeling chart and other sensory toys that you donated to. My students especially enjoyed the sensory tube the enjoy watching the liquid flow. Social emotion is important to my students learning. If they are going through something emotionally they it usually affects how they learn. Most of the time they don't want to do work. These fidgets allow my students to work and have something to manipulate for their social emotional needs. Once again thank you for your donation.”
The reading fair boards will make my students more excited about reading fiction texts and being able to make it come alive in 3D form. My students will be ecstatic to construct their favorite scene or reproduce the cover of the book. This project will so much fun for them because they love using their fine motor skills in the classroom in creative ways.
My students will be more receptive to finding the heart of the story and re-creating it in their own way as they envision the story in their heads. Through recreating through art, they can add visual details to give more detail to the part they choose to illustrate.
Also through creating reading fair boards( fiction) , it will reinforce what we have been teaching in our reading unit so far. This will give the students the chance to review the elements of fiction in a fun and creative way.
