In my class, we focus on helping children communicate their need and we also encourage our children to be as independent as possible. My teacher's assistant and I enjoy our days helping these children. It's such a blessing to have the students in my life, we all love to watch them discover the world around them. An IPad will open so many doors for my students. This will be a tool we use to help our students start their journey of becoming independent individuals that can communicate their needs. With an IPad my students will be able to communicate what they need without getting frustrated, crying, or evening throwing themselves on the floor. They will be able to create sentences using a series of pictures and since IPads are mobile they will be able to communicate everywhere we go within our school. Our class will have the opportunity to have a visual schedule that can travel with us. With your generous donation our students will be able to grow into wonderfully verbal students that are on the road to an independent adulthood. I can not wait to have the opportunities to help my children reach their potentials.
