This will be my first year at this school, and the counseling office is in need of materials. I am very driven and passionate about my profession, especially when working with at-risk children. 90% of my students are on free or reduced lunch and come from high poverty homes. 77% of my student body is Hispanic with limited English proficiency. We have about 600 students in grades PreK-6. School is their safe place. As their school counselor, I want to make sure to provide the most welcoming environment possible.
