My students are gifted learners and are very creative. They enjoy being read to and taking part in science experiments that are hands-on. Unfortunately, due to our budget at our Title-1 school, I would like to do more than I am able at this time. The children enjoyed the story "The Grouchy Ladybug" and learned how important the ladybugs job is at keeping plants free from aphids. It would be a great learning experience for them to grow their own plants and observe the ladybugs. When children can recall previous learning experiences, it is helping them to retain knowledge.
