Color Printer for Kids With Special Needs!
Funded Nov 16, 2018I am thankful that you have donated to 2 of my projects. I have been using the printer to create age and level appropriate homework, classwork, center games, and resources for my students. I still remember during the first few weeks of school when our school ran out of ink in the teacher's lounge. It was a devastated period of time because student were given the only math workbook to complete as homework without differentiation. Unfortunately some students in my class has learning disabilities and often time, my partner and I must modify homework and classwork to suit their needs. Without a working printer, the teachers had a hard time printing out appropriate worksheets in school.
We started using our own printers and home and realize that the printer is deskjet and it took a long time for multiple copies to print. We spent numerous hours at home waiting for all files to print. Until the day when both of our printers broke down, we realized that we needed help. With a working printer, we are able to print out modified lessons, homework, hand-on activities, and important notices on the spot. Things in our classroom has became a lot smooth and we really appreciate your donation. Both my partner and I are big supporter of Staples. We continue to shop at Staples for classroom materials and stationary item. Please accept our thanks and understand that we are always happy doing business with Staples.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Staples and one other donor. The Benefits of Educational Games! We Need Your Help!
Funded Nov 16, 2018I am very grateful for your donation. The kindergartners in my class have been using the educational games and they are now able to identify the letter-sounds, count and match, blend sounds, tell a story in sequential order, identify the syllables, and add/subtract within 10. They love playing with the games and enjoy working with their classmates. The students in my class has been progressing tremendously with the help of the donated games.
For example, my students who cannot write a complete sentence are working with story sequencing game. They look at 4 sequencing picture cards and are able to successfully place them in sequential order. As one of the kindergarten standards, students needed to be able to describe an event using first, next, then, last. Although some students are unable to write, they were able to verbally describe an event in sequential order. It was a difficult task for them but after weeks of practice, they are now able to complete the game independently.
My students are very blessed and thankful for all your help. We cannot thank you enough and we really would like you to understand how much we appreciate your donation.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Staples. We are Readers and We Need Your Help!
Funded Dec 24, 2015I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generosity. It is amazing to see the progress my students have made since the books have arrived. In the beginning of school year, 80% of the students in this class scored below grade level on the reading test. Now, 70% of the students are on or above first grade reading level. It has been a great journey for the students and thank you for making this happen.
With the new books, students are able pick and choose the appropriate books based on their interest and level. Often times, students would read with a buddy or to a buddy. The students would then discuss about the characters, setting, and the main events that happened in the story. Their conversation about the books had gone far beyond what was expected them to do. I was thrilled to see that in the classroom because the students are truly enjoying reading the books.
As a teacher, I knew I had to create this project to help my students. I believe all children are learners and they need the opportunity to succeed. I also believed that there are kind people like you in the world who would help. Once again, Thank you for all you do.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Lin
