Pre-K Students Need a New Doll House and Art Materials
Funded May 6, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donations to our Pre-K class! The children absolutely love the various learning materials we received to make inclusion a part of our everyday experience. The children use the dollhouse and play people you have donated to create families and friends of multi-abilities and cultures during their imaginative play. The bubble machine was used for our family fun day event. The children had a great time blowing and chasing after bubbles during recess and our field day. The children were supper excited and motivated to use all the new toys and art materials. We are so grateful for your generosity and help. Thank you once again!”

Funded Dec 13, 2016Thank you so much for funding our class project. Technology is helping our children enhance their early literacy, writing, and math skills, including gaining experience working on an electronic device for learning. It gives students the opportunity to learn while playing. Children learn to play and many of our children do not have technology at home. Therefore, at school those children can explore firsthand how a tablet works. Using tablets in the classroom will make learning fun and engaging. Students will be able to listen to stories, practice tracing their numbers, trace their letters and so much more!
During center work, these tablets will be put to great use for students to access educational apps to enhance not only their literacy and math skills, but to make it a fun learning experiences using new technology The best part is that each child will get to use a tablet for learning every day. The tablets would allow my students more opportunities to access educational programs specially geared to their learning needs. Furthermore, the table has a great feature that keeps children progress. It allows me to see their strength and weakness. Nevertheless, this tablet provides a safe and secure learning environment that doesn't require access to the Internet to learn and play. It features an original preschool series that inspires curiosity, nurtures a love of learning, and empowers kids.
Thanks to your donations the children have a tablet with a variety of programs which is inviting and excited to them. I love to see how the children take turns using the tablet and showing each other what to do on the tablet. This technology has enhanced children with letter recognition, number recognition, shapes, counting and fine motor skills. It is amazing seeing young children learn with technology!”

Color and Science Explorers!
Funded Sep 30, 2016Thank you so much for helping to fund my project. My students are having so much fun, through hands on activity they are exploring with magnets of all kinds. Through play, they are learning how magnets pull and push each other. Some of the students notice how magnets attract some material and not others. My students enjoy working and playing with each other. The Funchute Parachute has encourages cooperative play while helping to build muscles. They must work together to create waves, bounce balls, and raise or lower the parachute. During outdoor play, they have learned to take turns and work as a team. Furthermore, my children are natural artists! I feel that every student in my class are full of color, life, and ideas. Thanks to the color printer, I can create engaging, colorful materials, for all subjects. My classroom is now full of color, which my students enjoy. My Pre-K classroom is a vibrant, hands-on learning environment where students can explore and become life-long learners. It is my goal to create students who love to learn.”

Art Supplies for Pre-K
Funded Sep 16, 2015I can't fully express my joy, excitement, and thanks for your donation to my project. Thank you for generously supporting my Pre-K students and providing such wonderful resources for us to use in the classroom. This is my first year teaching at this level and I have very few tools to give my students an optimal learning environment. I want to incorporate art across the curriculum. I want to do many art projects with my students. Thanks to you my children have painting and coloring materials. For example, they use the paint, paper and brushes during our unit about community helpers to draw and make community helpers vehicles. They had so much fun doing various art activities. We will use the tissue paper during Hispanic heritage month to make "papel picado".
Thanks to you, they now have an art easel, crayons, paint, brushes, drawing paper, and many wonderful things.
Thank you again for your amazing support and generosity! My class and I appreciate your kindness and use these wonderful resources daily. You have given my students additional opportunities to explore and learn! Thank you very much!”

Mrs. Reyes
