All of our students receive free and reduced lunch and breakfast and many of them will be the first ones in their family to graduate from high school. Our students face many obstacles in their daily lives, and it is often times a struggle for them to just come to school. However, most of them are very committed to their education and they strive to be successful students. Our school has a science and technology focus and we have a medical academy that provides our students with real-world experiences in the health field. The curriculum in most of our classes has a medical/health focus and we do cross-curricular projects and assignments in order to provide our students with multiple layers of exposure for each topic. We are trying to create an educational program that is aligned with our students' current interests and future goals in order to prepare them for purposeful, productive and satisfying lives.
