Making the Shift in Reading!
Funded May 23, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation of all the hands on manipulatives for my K-5 students. These multisensory reading tools will help students during their structured and systematic reading instruction! The students who visit the reading room each day put forth so much effort and extra practice during their school day. These students were thrilled to use the magnetic chips, reading readiness sound cards and sound boxes to help practice with their systematic, structured and explicit reading practice! Thank you again!”

Funded Jan 6, 2023Thank you so much for our incredible sensory prizes! Our reading students leave the classroom and visit the reading room for extra support five days a week. They put forth so much hard work during the week, we want to provide them with a prize by Friday, each week. They LOVE the sensory prizes such as fidget spinners, wacky trackies, mochi squishy toys and more. By providing these students, Kindergarten through 5th grade with prizes, not only do they get to take something home with them but they have something to look forward too all week. Thank you again for your continued support for our students. It truly means so much to us as educators and to the students.”

Funded Dec 20, 2022Thank you so much for our cleaning supplies for the reading room! We see over 60 students a day in one room. To keep kids happy, healthy and in school, we have them wash their hands right when they walk into the room, so they don't catch anything which would make them sick. We also wipe down the tables and stools when they leave, creating a safe and clean environment for each reading group. We could not have done this without your help of supplying the antibacterial wipes and antibacterial soap for our students. Thank you again for your generosity.”

Student Materials During a Pandemic!
Funded Jan 23, 2022Thank you so much for supplying my students with basic school supplies. My students who come into the reading room all need separate supplies due to the pandemic. With seeing over forty students a day, its hard to keep up with giving them the basics. The pencils, crayons, glue sticks and scissors are the BEST gift for hard working students to keep. They are able to keep them all in their own pencil pouches, which helps keep everything clean and neat during this pandemic school year. Thank you again for thinking of my reading students and supplying them with the basics necessities!”

School Supplies for K-5 Students!
Funded Jan 19, 2022Thank you so incredibly much for funding our school supplies project. During the pandemic, students need to have individual supplies, keeping everything individualized and clean for kids. We are separate from their classroom, so asking for double supplies can be hard to do with families. This allows us to supply students with their own pencil pouch, crayons and scissors for the reading room. By doing so, they keep it in their reading folder, allowing them to keep their supplies clean and readily available. Thank you so much for thinking of over fifty students, kindergarten to fifth grade. It means so much especially in a hard pandemic year such as this.”

We wrap them up and distribute them on the last day before break. The books that are left over, we use for the following year. The hopes is that the kids bring the holiday books home and enjoy them with their families over the winter break. Thank you again for thinking of our students. We love seeing their faces light up when the gift of reading is wrapped up and placed in their hands to keep!”
