  • Supplies Needed to Keep Our Classroom Safe

    Funded Sep 17, 2020

Durning the pandemic, the supplies that we received help us tremendously. My students were able to have all of their supplies organized and individually placed in sealed plastic folders and pouches. The sanitizing wands helped my students keep their supplies and area germ free.

When we first received the materials, students were happy because they were able to have their own personal bags to keep their supplies in. They were excited to learn about the wand and used it on their supplies before they started their day and right before they went home.

Our next steps, some of the supplies we are still using. The chart stand help me organized the anchor charts and easily accessible to my students if they need to refer to it.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Santiago

  • Special Needs Students Need Laptop for STEM

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

I cannot begin to express my gratitude towards your generosity towards helping my students and I by funding our project!

My students and I greatly appreciate your support in helping us better our education by giving us access to this laptop. With this laptop, we will be able to further our education in computer programming, research, coding and utilizing tech tools to help us complete our projects. This laptop will also promote peer-to-peer and turn-taking skills.

We cannot wait to use the laptop and again, we really appreciate all of your help!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Santiago

  • Special Needs Students need Laminating Machine

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

Thank you for your support. My students and I greatly appreciate your donations. They were excited to see the products we've received.

The supplies we will receive will help us preserve and keep important work safe from any type of damage. We really put pride into our work and preserving it is our priority.

This tool is also a great resource for us to reuse paper over and over. We will not have to keep printing things out; instead we can just wipe the dry erase work off and put the work away for future use. We are helping our environment by recycling and reusing paper.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Santiago

  • iPads Needed for Special Needs Students

    Funded Dec 18, 2015

I cannot begin to express my gratitude towards your generosity towards helping my students and I by funding our project!

The iPads you have funded will give my students the opportunity to explore various types of programs that will better suit their academic needs and learning style. My students need visual input to help them process academic instructions. I cannot wait to introduce these strategies and these iPads will make practicing reading, writing, and math skills so much easier.

I cannot wait to share the great news with my students and colleagues. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

  • Mouse and Track Pad for Students with Special Needs

    Funded Dec 5, 2015

I cannot begin to express my gratitude towards your generosity towards helping my students and I by funding our project!

The mouse and track pad you have funded will give my students the opportunity to utilize various tools to help them navigate a laptop. My students need tools to help them complete projects, research information and most importantly will help them with their fine motor skills. I cannot wait to model the skills they need to use the mouse and track pad. By modeling these skills, it will make navigating the laptop so much easier.

I cannot wait to share the great news with my students and colleagues. Thank you so much!”

  • iPad Accessories for Students with Special Needs

    Funded Apr 15, 2015

Thank you for your support. My students and I greatly appreciate your donations.

The supplies we received help keep our new ipads safe from being damage. We were able to take the ipads out when we went on our field trips. We were able to take many great pictures with our ipads. My students are looking forward to working on brand new technology to further their 21st century skills.

My students will find these skills valuable to use in possible career opportunities. They find working with technology easier than learning academics. They have a great interest in anything dealing with technology.”

    With gratitude,

Skills are introduced on a daily basis with constant repetition. Sometimes some of my students understand what is being instructed but cannot apply the skills learned and/or taught. With the use of technology, some of these skills are easier learned. My students come from the highest poverty level in Brooklyn and cannot afford these technology tools in their home life. Through the school technology, they enjoy using what technology we have and seem to learn more when they are using hands-on learning.
