  • Washing Our Troubles Away

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Our students have been grateful to receiving the dishwasher "Washing our Troubles Away" it not only saves time but its been great in having sterile glassware to use for science labs. It has been a long time over due and washing science beakers and flasks in a small bathroom sink made it almost impossible to do so without having water on the floor. Then having to clean the floor. sometimes glassware would break and lucky no one got cut.

Washing science glassware without fear of having contact of chemicals is the best.

    Our

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • Air Purifier! Help Me Give My Students Fresh Air!

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

"The Air Purifiers" was a great addition to all classes especially our science classes. As you can see, students were able to come in during the Pandemic and perform labs, or other academics.

When the students saw the air Purifiers, it provided students and staff an extra layer of relief, safety and made it easy for some students to attend in-person class and learn.

A number of students expressed concern in coming to school without open windows yet knowing we had air purifiers helped ease some of their concerns allowing those with the greatest needs to attend in-person school.

This has allowed teachers to work with students, although we are limited in how many students can be in the rooms, thus allowing us to provide more one to one assistance.

We appreciate all that you do in making this opportunity to learn come alive for some students. These Air Purifiers will continue to be part of the classroom norm now as we hope to see more and more students in person. As you can see student are doing great work.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • STEM Labs Need Lab Coats for Safety

    Funded Nov 13, 2019

All I know is that You, Donors, is what makes education fun! Without your support it would be so much harder to teach biotechnology, or science in general. You made our day! When we opened the package and found your very generous donation of brand-new Lab Coats, we were surprised that anyone would help. Your support means so much, supporting my classroom and the donation of the Lab Coats for our Science students to work on labs such as CRISPER, Antibiotic resistant bacteria, and ELISA to determine who was ground zero for transmitting Bacterial meningitis at a college.

The Lab Coats was a big hit with All of the students and the school! Students couldn't wait to wear them and begin using them in their labs. One even got some chemicals on them, which protected the student, we all were so happy for that. The Lab Coats are in constant use and really have the students feeling like scientist as you can see in their Thank you Poses. "This experience has students, feeling more like scientist and enjoying performing labs without the risk of chemical spillage. They are even washing and caring for them as others will share in the use of them. Our students are proud showing dedication as a whole. We will continue this tradition in serving our school and giving back to the community that in which we have taken, as quoted by Tavis Smiley. We appreciate all that you have done to make this dream, thought and idea come true to us, our peers and our community while paying homage to our past."

Thank you again, your commitment to helping educators is inspiring.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • Learning Biomedical Creating 3D Prosthetics

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

You made my day! When I opened the package and found your very generous donation. Your support means so much, supporting my classroom and the donation of a 3-D printer for my Science high school! Our class has created nerves, hearts, and brains with the supplies you have donated. These materials are directly helping my students learn more about the body and how organs work. While trying to develop a way to fix heart disease in a blocked artery.

Thank you again, your commitment to helping educators is inspiring.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

Students will be using the Dremel Idea Builder 3D printer and filaments to create scaled prosthetic body parts for biomedical course, students will develop, in the role of researchers, replacement organs for transplants. Student proposals for new models of internal organs are incomplete if they are unable to create completed, 3D versions of their solutions. The finished product will allow them to practice using computer-assisted design software, as well as experience the practice of biomedical technologies and research and development. Students will watch their ideas come to life as they make something tangible that addresses a real-world problem. . This project would significantly help my students' understanding of research and development within the biomedical field. They would see the process connect to potential positive outcomes for those in need of organ transplants. In the end, they will be problem-solvers, empowered to take their skills with confidence into STEM careers.
