My students are 5 and 6 years old. They have already learned all of their letter names and sounds, numbers 1-100 and are continuing to build on more and more each day. They also come from many different backgrounds. My students are also learning that since they are not from the same cultural backgrounds that they do not do all of the same things. Our school is what is called an "open concept school." Meaning that the openness of the floor plan allows for maximum learning.
