My students attend a career and technical magnet school, which allows them to start finding out more about careers they may be interested in in the future. They experience field-based applications in their programs as well as take the traditional core curriculum classes offered in a comprehensive high school. Our students have rigorous class schedules and are involved in many clubs, activities and internships. They are already very proficient using technology and are highly motivated students. Even though they work hard to excel, some of them struggle to learn and comprehend material by seeing examples done on the board or reading the textbook.
