Thanks to your generosity we were able to add additional items to our Peer Helper "Care Closet". The students were proud that someone thought enough of them and the other students to donate to their "Care Closet". If you could have seen the smiles on the faces of my kids, you would have been proud as well.
The Peer Helpers were beyond proud to be able to provide the additional items to assist the other students. They have already began to tell the students about the "Care Closet" and have also provided some of the items to assist others. The cereal has been a hit! Some of the students have used the lotion and we have distributed at least 20 of the lanyards to students who needed a replacement.
My students were thrilled to receive such a generous donation from each of you. The snacks that were purchased through Donors Choose, assisted us throughout the remainder of the school year. Each week the students received a snack or two after our advisory meetings. The students were so proud, that they shared with other students concerning their rewards. We can't thank you enough for thinking of us in such a positive manner. Without you, my goal as a counselor would have not been fulfilled. Again, thank you!”

Thank you for supporting our "Feminine Self-Care Center ". The students love the idea that they are able to come in privately to obtain additional personal care supplies in the privacy of the counseling suite. The young ladies have stated that it makes them feel comfortable knowing that they not only have the option of going to the nurse, but they also are able to receive supplies from the counselor. Since receiving this gift from our supporters, I have had numerous girls come in for supplies for home. Thank you again for your support and kindness.”
We greatly appreciate your support and generosity towards our "Counseling Relaxation Station ". There has been an overwhelming outpour of thankfulness from each of our students who have had the opportunity to use the relaxation station. The students have also been amazed that they received this relaxation area from your donations. The teachers, administrators, and even our central office personnel have stated that the area is warm and inviting for my middle school students. There are no words to explain the joy that I have seeing my students happy. Thank you again for your donations.”
Thank you so much for donating to our student "Self-Care" center. Your donation will support any student with a need in grades 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. We are truly grateful for each and every donation.
The deodorant has been used by several different students since we received your donations. You wouldn't believe how excited our students have been about your generosity! Many of my students have even expressed their thankfulness that each of you donated to our project and you didn't even know them. To our donors I say, you are amazing, and we appreciate you!”
The students were pleased to receive the classroom libraries. As we continue to develop our school counseling program, the books that you purchased will allow the students to read and collaborate within small groups or to complete an open share reading for the entire class. It has been my ultimate goal to increase student knowledge as it relates to student mental health, wellness, and to help the students to be able to be able to balance their social emotional wellness. We definitely appreciate you being a light in the growth of each of our second and third grade classrooms.”

We the staff and the students of Burroughs Elementary greatly appreciate your donation of the Kleenex tissues. Each classroom was able to receive 3-4 boxes of tissue. All of the teachers were so appreciative of your gift. Many of the teachers expressed their gratitude with smiles, high fives, and by verbalizing their thanks. Since this fall/winter season we have had fewer donations of classroom supplies due to the economy, family income changes, and by just experiencing life as we know it right now. We continue to thank each of you the contribution that you have provided in support our wonderful students. Again, we say thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”

Thank you so much for your donation of the basketballs and basketball goals. Because of your generous donation our students will be able to again use the playground area that was designated for our upper grade students. This area has not been used for basketball for numerous years. Our students have benefited greatly from the basketballs and the school is in the process of having the basketball goals installed for the students. Your donation has brought much joy and excitement to our students. We will never ever forget all that you have done to assist us in making our students "Hoop Dreams" come true!”
We have over 350 students within a high poverty school setting. The kids are all elementary grades K-5th. Many of my students are in desperate need of additional supports from the counselor due to severe behavioral concerns, troubled home situations, and/ or socioeconomic needs. We are doing our best to meet their needs, but we do not currently have adequate tools and materials. The materials needed to assist me in developing a more effective program are books related to building strong character and books that will be used for a small library. These books and kits focus on building self esteem, handling emotions, and building self-concept. I have also requested several small rugs that will be used during small group sessions.
In order to provide basic services I am in need of these teaching tools for small group and individual counseling sessions.
