• A Full Stomach, Makes a Happy Student

  Thank you for the delicious snacks! The kids loved the snacks and needed them to keep going in the afternoon. We appreciate your generosity! Thank you for selecting our class.

  Some of these kids come to school hungry and can't wait for lunchtime. We have to do better as a society of providing healthy lunches and adequate snacks for our students.

  I wish I could have the time and resources to feed my class all year. We do what we can.

• Running Out of Supplies

  Thank you for your generous donations in helping us get supplies for our classroom. We were in great need for paper, glue and crayons. We have been so fortunate and made those supplies last us this year.

  Thanks to you our classroom feels plentiful. I even have enough supplies to give students a set for Home use. They need to have the resources at home to do their homework and special school projects.

• Alphabet Letters and Sounds in English and Spanish!

  Thank you for your generous donations to our Bilingual Classroom. This year the students are really enjoying the hands on letters and magnetic boards to learn their letter names and to learn to build words.

  Kinesthetic resources are so important for young learners. They learn though exploration and through play. Students are having a great time learning through hands on manipulatives.

  Everyday they use the letters to build new one, two and three syllable words. This is helping them with their phonemic awareness. All of the resources we received from you will help us make gains in reading and decoding. Thank you for all that you do and for being generous.”

• Black History Month Read Alouds

  Thanks to your generosity I have acquired some wonderful and much needed Black History books! I love to read books to my students about Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad! They love to learn about Ruby Bridges and have so many questions about this time in History. Black History is AMERCAN history and with out these factual stories about Brave women and men all we have is a hole. Thank you for considering this literacy project. You could have chosen someone else but you made a great impact to our class library!”

• Stay Warm With Good Winter Books!

  As we get closer to Winter, I am excited to know that I have a whole book box of Winter books. I am grateful for your generosity. My students are always excited to find new books in the classroom. Although we have an unlimited access to books online I still believe that all students should hold books and turn those pages. Online books are fun but do not compare to the excitement of holding a book and being able to read it's exciting contents. You donated some wonderful Jan Brett books. Books that make Winter and animals come alive. Thank you!”
