  • Flexible Seating "Comfy Students Choices"

    Funded Oct 19, 2017

I want to start by thanking you again for your generous donation towards my new and improved flexible seating classroom. At the beginning of the school year I set up the classroom with the traditional chairs and desks. When I received the package, I was able to set up my room again with our new Wobble Chairs and Stay-N-Play Balance Ball. The students reactions were priceless! They were so excited to test out the Wobble Chairs and the Balance Ball. I gave every students the opportunity to test out our new alternative seating. I am still working hard to provide other forms of flexible seating as well. This will ultimately allow all students to find a setting option that works best for them, meaning it fulfills their needs, while allowing them to work to their fullest potential.

Due to your donation my students will feel more comfortable in the classroom environment, ultimately directing their academics and behavior in the right direction. With your help I am certain to have an excellent and successful school year!”

  • Classroom Supplies

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

Thank you so much for supporting my students! They are really wonderful students that I am delighted to teach. These supplies are fundamental to their continued learning in the classroom, and I only wish you were able to witness their enthusiasm about getting markers, magnetic letters, and magnetic mats! Due to your donation, my students have a literacy center in the classroom that helps them to become better readers and writers. A child should be concentrated on learning, not the challenges of having what they need to learn. Thank you again for letting them have that opportunity. I hope you are equally blessed!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ramos

My students are from a diverse ethnic background, many whom do not speak English, but that does not stop them for wanting to learn. They are learning in a low income area. Most of them are already 7 years old and my class has more girls than boys. A typical day in my classroom starts in our meeting area at 8:15 am and ends at 2:20 pm when they go home. My students come to the meeting area so excited and filled with curiosity when they sit in the meeting area waiting for our greetings and what to expect for the day's activities.
