"I can't hear you teacher," said Mario for the 10th time. "I can't hear you either," said Ms. Black. Many of our students live in homes with multiple families and the background noise keeps the child from learning remotely. Providing headphones with mics will allow our students to block out the background noise so they can hear the teacher and the teacher can hear the student. Imagine trying to teach a child letter sounds when the child can't hear the teacher and the teacher can not hear the child. The proposed headsets (with microphones) will provide clear, consistent communication between the teacher and student. Most of us who zoom understand the difficulty of communicating when there is too much background noise. Our students truly want to learn, they just need a little bit of technology to allow that to happen.
