  • Planting Seeds of Knowledge in 3rd Grade

    Funded Nov 10, 2015

Thank you so much for funding my project. This means so much more than words will ever be able to express. I am forever grateful for your donation, as will my students be when they hear of this fantastic news!!! The kids I work with come from families that don't always have the funds for basic materials that we need in the classroom each day and it can make our day to day activities a struggle.

Because of your amazing service to help my class, we will be able to complete so many more exciting projects in our classroom. I cannot say enough to express my overwhelming excitement. Thank you sooo very much!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peters

Ms. Ps' classroom is the place to be if your in the 3rd grade at my school! Our class consists of approximately 20 students between the ages of 8-9 years. Our class comes together with a very diverse group of learners ready to succeed. We are considered both an inclusion, meaning we integrate general education students with those identified having special needs, as well as a gifted cluster class. The vast majority of the students at our school come from families that fall below the poverty line and most are considered to be be at the bottom of the socioeconomic scale, making that just one more obstacle for our children to overcome. Things that many of us take for granted such as basic school supplies including pencils and paper are hard to acquire for many of the students and their families. We make it our goal to ensure school is always a safe/comforting place for a students to come, regardless of where they come from.
