Crafts and Centers
Funded Dec 20, 2024I appreciate all your support for my classroom. We are always doing fun crafts in our class, and my students love having such fun things to create! We are so excited to restock our supply and get creative again when we return from winter break. Thank you so much for being so generous!”

Just the Basics
Funded Sep 19, 2024We cannot thank you enough for the wonderful supplies for our classroom! We are entering into the colder weather, which means more stuffy noses, dirty hands, and germs are everywhere! Having extra hand soap and hand sanitizer has been so wonderful so we can make sure students are keeping their hands clean after using the restroom and blowing their noses.
We also appreciate the toothpaste, toothbrushes and baby wipes! Baby wipes are coming in handy as we are doing our yearly gifts for families that include tons of paint on their hands! They help to keep hands clean faster with less mess at the sinks.
Once again, THANK YOU! We appreciate your generosity towards our classroom!”

Funded May 7, 2024I am so grateful for your generous donations! You helped provide such fun books about farm life and animals for my students to enjoy. Since we were already hatching eggs and learning about baby chickens in the classroom, the books arrived just in time! They loved learning about other farm animals, like cows, horses and pigs! I learned so many things about the animals, right along with our students! We have also "adopted" a calf through another organization and students enjoyed getting to learn more about cows with the books. Reading to my students is so important as they get to learn more about the world. Thank you so much!”

Funded Mar 12, 2024Hatching eggs in the classroom is such a wonderful experience for little learners. We had many donated eggs for our classroom incubator, though only one egg hatched. My students were so ecstatic that we had a baby chick for a couple of weeks. Students were able to observe the eggs while they incubated, and then observed our sweet little chick as she grew in the brooder. Students were able to pick a name for her, Bill Nugget! Once she grew a little bit, students sat in a circle and were able to hold her as she walked up to them.
Giving students the opportunity to see a little farm life in the classroom was so exciting, especially since they are inner-city kids! Even now, students come up to me and ask how Bill Nugget is doing in her new home with other chickens. They love getting updates and seeing pictures of her doing well with her new family!
Thank you for giving my students the chance to hatch a baby chick in our classroom. I love that we were able to give them a learning experience that is unique in our school!”

Easy Progress Monitoring 2
Funded May 7, 2024As I continue to utilize ESGI in my classroom, I am finding out how to use more of their tools and options for sharing student progress! I am blown away at how many different ways I can see scores, track exactly what the majority of students need to work on, and how easy it is to share with families! Using ESGI in the classroom makes it so quick and easy to assess students one-on-one. At this point in the school year, students know how to use this assessment tool and are always so excited to see their progress immediately. They love to see the graphing lines trend upwards and see their circles close! Families also love the little reports I send home to show exactly what students got correct and what they need to work on. It helps them to see the clear expectations of what students need to know by the end of the year, and how it ties directly to the report cards.
Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and providing us with a tool that is so important!”

Funded Oct 23, 2024I am so excited! We love our "Cooking Fridays" and getting to experience new things in our classroom. My students will be so happy to have new tools to support their learning with real-life skills! We cannot wait to have them look like chefs with their cute hats! Thank you so much!”

Winter Read Alouds
Funded Dec 22, 2023Thank you for your amazing generosity! Getting more books in the hands of my students has been such an amazing experience this year. They have such a love of learning and books are a great way to help them learn more. Winter books were fun to read on days that were extra cold and we pretended to be by a fireplace while reading. With your classroom support, my students have been able to cozy up with books that are interesting and fun to them! We are so grateful for all the wonderful books that you have kindly put into their classroom.”

T-Shirts for Mediators
Funded Dec 6, 2023We have an amazing group of third, fourth and fifth graders that are fantastic student mediators! They help our our younger students at recess, guiding them to problem solve and play well together. The t-shirts have brought them closer together and they are always so proud to wear them on their "duty" days, which is once a week.
Our redirector and counselor have taught these students how to interact with the younger grades and how to teach them to be great leaders. Our student mediators are such a great asset to our school community!”

Funded Sep 20, 2023Thank you so much for our amazing books! We enjoyed learning about our five senses and about germs. The books gave us great vocabulary words to focus on. We used hands-on materials to support our learning from the books and it was so wonderful to hear them use the vocabulary words! Students truly love listening to books, whether they are fiction or non-fiction. Their comprehension skills have improved throughout the year because of the incredible books that we get to read to our students. We are grateful for your support in our learning.”

Funded Sep 11, 2023We have enjoyed so many of the fall themed books this year! Students were able to connect the fiction stories with their lives when reading the books. I have quite the talkative group of students this year, so we often ask questions during the read alouds so they can share their personal experiences with others. Their favorite books were about pumpkins! They were so excited to learn about the life cycle of a pumpkin and how it came to be a pumpkin pie.
Thank you so much for your generosity! We are so excited to continue adding great books to our classroom library for students to enjoy.”
