Help me bring hands-on learning home with students! My students are beginning the school year virtually. Students will be learning at home, for at least the first nine weeks. As a teacher who tries to reach every one of her students, I know hands-on manipulatives are so important. I want to give my students the opportunity to learn with movement and games, even at home! Students will be gifted "learning kits" for the first day of school. These kits will provide students with their own expo markers, pencils, and erasers. (I have already bought whiteboards for every one of my students). I plan on creating math manipulatives with the cardstock and lamination. During the beginning of each math unit, I will bring my students a new set of materials! How exciting!? Students will begin the school year with place value blocks in their box. These cardstock manipulatives will gift my students with hands-on learning to help them master math standards. Students will also receive dice for math and reading centers. This will allow students to learn while playing. Many of my students will be at home learning, while many of their siblings are also learning, I wanted to gift them with headphones to ensure they are able to focus on their virtual instruction. Finally, I know my students will be most excited by receiving their very own set of multiplication flash cards. I cannot wait to see the excitement on my students' faces when they receive their learning kits. I know it will bring smiles to their faces during such a challenging time.
