My school is a Title 1 school in a low socioeconomic area in Queens, New York. There is a large variety of cultural backgrounds. Many students who enter the school have come from areas where education is not a priority for many school children. Many are English Language Learners. The students enter school eager to learn. My school promotes supporting emotional learning, as well as academic learning.
