Limitless Minds
Funded Dec 26, 2014I cannot thank you enough for your generous donations! My students were ecstatic to receive the delivery in our classroom. They had a million questions: "What is that?", "Is that for us?", "Can we use it?". After Answering all their questions, I shared with them the most important news. I told them about the amazing people that made the donations. I defined and explained what a donation was, since many of my young students did not know that term. It was such a teachable moment. They learned about the gift of donating and they also learned about the gratitude of receiving.
The students have been enjoying all the materials we received. They love the magnets. They are building robots, towers, and exploring. Among their favorite items are the different color play-dough, ten-frames and number counting pegs. They are developing fine motors skill, one-to one correspondence, counting skills, and number sense. My favorite teaching tool is the magnetic ten-frames. They make teaching much more interesting and manageable. I am able to teach many skills like counting, grouping, number sense, addition, and subtraction. It is a great visual for my students. The students have also enjoyed painting. Due to budget cuts we did not have an array of different color paints at our school. Thanks to you, we now have all the colors of the rainbow. We are able to paint anything we want!!
Learning for my students has become more vivid and interesting. Your help has really made a great contribution. We have great visuals, manipulatives and many other resources to enhance our learning and development. Thank you, Thank you...You made the difference!!”
With gratitude,
