Technology Needed
Funded Aug 16, 2020Thank You for all your support in proving us with the resources we need to begin our distance learning journey. Know. These iPads will be a support tool for families who do not have iPads for the span of the school year. This will help my students access tools for learning that they otherwise would have had at school. Thank You for your consideration and support. We are really grateful and look forward to a successful school year!”

Funded Aug 22, 2018Thank you for all your support. We appreciate your contribution and your commitment to support our classroom. We are excited to use the material we received for our journey into stem learning. We will incorporate the headphones with our IPAds and use the erasable tablets for reading, writing and math. Again we sincerely thank you for supporting our efforts to incorporate STEM learning into our classroom.”

Funded Oct 10, 2017The materials you have helped us get are working magic in our classroom. The Boogie boards have become a hit, students are excited to integrate technology into their learning. They have been open minded and quick learners on utilizing the boogie boards in all subjects including math, reading and science. The Nuts/bolts and molecule have given students the opportunity to practice practical skills of engineering and working together to accomplish a common goal. The most exciting aspect about this project for my class is using the new material on a daily basis. They have become owners of their own learning and are ecstatic when using our new materials. These materials have leveled the playing field for many off my low and ELL students. Just like their peers they all have to work equally hard to figure out how to use the materials. The boogie boards have made a great impact on my ELL students because it is something they can figure out how to use without the use of language. When we use the boogie boards they can show more than just words, they can also make pictures to show their responses. We are beyond thrilled to have all these new materials. we have had the opportunity this year to learn about STEM, and use STEM related materials to learn more about the concept.”

Interactive Learning
Funded May 17, 2017Thank you for your support in helping my class receive much needed materials and resources to support my students education. We have been using the material in many different ways. We love our math manipulative Ten frames. During math every day we practice counting using the ten frames. This has allowed all the students to get a chance to practice counting on their own with interactive, hands on material. My students were beyond excited when they saw the new learning materials we acquired. They were eager and ready to begin using the material. They were excited to know that someone was kind enough to support them as they continue their education journey.
Currently we are learning our letters, sounds, and numbers. The awesome thing about all the material we were provided with is it allows students to become independent learners. It gives them an opportunity to get hands on experience into learning their letters, sounds, and numbers with little support from the teacher. We are now working hard to create these independent centers so students can start taking their learning into their own hands.”

Funded Nov 20, 2015Thank You for your support in getting much needed resources into our kindergarten classroom, we truly appreciate it. We use both the carpet as well as the easel on a daily basis. The easel has become the center of our learning, as we use it for everything, reading, writing, math, student led learning, and many more activities. Our carpet has served as a gathering place in our classroom. We have built a community and it has become the known area to gather, learn, and share ideas. The student's were beyond excited when they saw the carpet and the easel. They were overwhelmed and eager to begin sitting and touching both items. Our next step is to work towards building classroom learning centers using the easel as well as other resources to help engage students and make them independent learners.”

Learning Through Different Doors
Funded Nov 25, 2014Thank You for your generous donations, my students and I are both beyond thrilled to finally start using the materials that have recently arrived. My students were incredibly excited about the resources. Most of them gravitated towards the sight word Readers, but others are really enjoying the sentence building kit. They are overjoyed and look forward to using the materials on a daily basis.
We use the resources in multiple ways. For all my beginner ELL students the sight word readers have been a great resource. They feel that they are able to take part in reading books that are at their level and the pictures are the most helpful part of all the books. With learning word families, it is so helpful to use our word building kit, and to build on our sentences writing skills we use the sentence stems from the creating sentence sight word center, all of these have been great hands-on supplemental material that has given extra support to their struggling areas with the language.
This project is something I am thankful for. For ELL students they need a lot of hands-on, visual and verbal ques in order for things to make more sense to them. Every resource we have received has done just that, it has given my students the visual support they need, it has helped them to build on from sentence stems already made, and it gave them the confidence to continue learning because they can actually complete the tasks.”
