My students are beautiful. They come from all different ethnic backgrounds but predominately Hispanic and African American. We are a Title I school which will qualify if 40% of the school is low income....WE ARE 98% low income! We are a charter school that provide high quality education for free. We are placed in one of the toughest areas in the DFW yet the children that walk through our halls strive for the ultimate goal of going to college. Most students in our school will be the first in their family to graduate and attend college. The passion for education and a better life for themselves is unreal! All of our students are motivated to make something of themselves and to be the best they can be. As normal we have tough days but for me in Physical Education, my students want to learn, they want to be healthy and they want to change their families lives. The hunger for the knowledge of health and fitness is through the roof!
